The Spring 2009 Set is available!
Squares hold a particular fascination for me and I use the shape for what I call "Patterns". Patterns of nature are cropped to a square image, printed on fine art paper and adhered to a square card. These cards are 5 1/4" by 5 1/4" square, made from a rich linen textured card stock, supplied with a 5" by 10" folded white paper insert for writing on, with a white envelope for mailing.
Patterns are all around us. We build in patterns. Your life has a pattern. (That's not a straightjacket, its a source of great freedom.) Nature makes the best patterns. Thousands of dimensions affect everything that grows, creating an almost endless variety - but a patterned variety. Artists have to work to embody nature's patterns in their natural work because the mind tries to impose a different kind of order. Photographers get to simply look for it.
I have four sets of "Patterns now", labeled for the year the cards were first produced. The links below will let you see image-on-card colour for each set.
