My partner, Jane Keeler, has been in Big Soul Project, a local gospel choir, for most of its ten years of existence.

Christmas Concert - December 5th, 2009 - Dominion-Chalmers United Church

July 4th, 2009 - Rainbow Bistro

The choir played a bar last night! To paraphrase Roxanne "If Jesus were alive he'd be here". It was pretty wild, with about 50 choir members using the upstairs as the "green room".
As usual, the lighting sucks for photography so I've added a B&W gallery.

A final concert under Elise Letourneau. "Conviction of the Heart" really rocked! Here are images .
December 8th, 2007 - Holiday Concert at Dominion-Chalmers United Church
There were a number of high points in the concert. My favorite was John Redmond's story about the Imagine Peace Tower. Yoko Ono's light sculpture in Reykjavik, Iceland. Then he soloed "Imagine", John Lennon's song with choir and audience backup. It was awe-inspiring!
I love the images from that grand space in concert lighting. Here are individual images and panoramas.
(There are pictures of some of the BSP people backing up Wicked Grin at Tucson's back in November - here.)
