Glengarry Music Festival
My friends, Kathy and Terry Gillespie, along with others from the Alexandria area, have put together the Glengarry Music Festival.
Sue Foley and Peter Karp
The first night gave us an intriguing musical show by Ottawa blues girl Sue Foley and her partner, Peter Karp. "He Said, She Said", songs from long distance letters between the two, has a wonderful tension enhanced by the across the piano looks between the two musicians. Both are wonderful writers (Peter's writing is "scarey" according to Terry Gillespie) and great musicians. Look for a new CD in the Fall.
Great food and great music in a relaxed and intimate setting with a pair of young horses as neighbors.

Ray Bonneville
I wasn't able to make it out to any more of the shows during the summer but I did finally get out to see Ray Bonneville. The venue had changed to the Atlantic Hotel in Alexandria and the lighting to "bar stage". Michael Ball joined him for almost half the show.
