On June 24th, 2007, I filled 90 feet of wall with prints, using an innovative hanging system made up of roof flashing metal "spears", aircraft cable and magnets. The Green Door Vegetarian Restaurant is a wonderful place to hang art, big walls and lots of patrons.
Note that there are almost always more images here than on the walls. I printed a few extra and then chose what would fit.
"Distortions", a solo print show.

My big show of big prints at the Green Door Vegetarian Restaurant went up on Sunday, June 24th 2007, and came down on Sunday July 22nd. A vernisage was held on Monday, June 25th, from 6 - 8 pm.
It was a total success in that I met a lot of people who appreciated my work and many who respond to aesthetics similar to mine.
It was a significant success in that I sold enough to recoup about half of my costs - a great result for a first exhibit, I'm told by more experienced photographers.
It was a slight success in that Alanis Morrisette seemed to be interested in the vegetative patterns - but not enough to seek me out as I vainly waited past closing for a word of encouragement!
Ah well. I loved it all!

The Series
Western Panoramas - In August 2006 my daughter and I drove 10,000 km to the west coast and back. Along the way I took a few pictures ;-)
Ethereal Birds - Across from Billings Bridge is a crook in the Rideau River where gulls, ducks and the occasional swans hang out. They provide endless fascination for me and my camera.
Field of Dreams - In a never-cut field near the hydro lines on Alta Vista Drive the asters and milkweed thrive.
The Fall - I started out to work with patterns in vegetation and came up with some beauties! Individual prints and composites.
The Spring - Lusher and greener.
Miscellaneous - Some Mer Bleu floaters and two seasons on the Rideau River.
Show Layout - I did extensive planning on paper for the show. Here are the final plans.
